Daytona Beach Bike Week
Daytona Bike Week
Daytona Bike Week March 6th - 15th, 2015

Perhaps it was the appeal of hard sand, warm winter days and the excitement of that first motorcycle race on the beach, that made Daytona Beach the home of Bike Week. Maybe it was the spirited activities surrounding the event that have kept people keep coming back. Whatever the case, Bike Week has been a tradition since January 24, 1937 - the inaugural running of the Daytona 200.

Republic of Texas (ROT) Biker Rally
Republich of Texas (ROT) Biker Rally

Republic of Texas (ROT) Biker Rally June 11th - June 14th, 2015

ROT Biker Rally is the largest “turnstile” motorcycle rally in the USA and one of the most highly-anticipated motorcycle events in the entire country. Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts flock to Central Texas to enjoy amazing motorcycles, Austin nightlife and the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

The Travis Co. Expo Center is the main location for the ROT Biker Rally, an 18 years and older event, held second Thursday in June and is approximately 11 miles east of downtown Austin, Texas. Helping live up to Austin’s self-proclaimed “Music Capital of the World” title, the ROT Biker Rally strives to grace its stages with top-notch entertainment year after year. ROT Rally promoters were thrilled to bring Sammy Hagar to town as our Saturday, June 14th 2014 headliner performing on the main stage at the Travis County Expo Center!

Other past headliners include Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson, Bret Michaels, Joan Jett, Paul Rogers, Steppenwolf, David Allen Coe, Charlie Daniels, Vince Neil, Twisted Sister, Eddie Money, and Los Lonely Boys, just to name a few.

For over ten years the City of Austin has joined in the ROT Biker Rally action by closing off 50 blocks of downtown Austin for a huge motorcycle parade and party on Congress Avenue the Friday night of Rally weekend. A “rolling closure” will be in effect for Congress Avenue and the parade will continue south across the Congress Avenue bridge where it will culminate at the ROT Biker Rally Downtown, presented by Austin 360, located at 305 S. Congress Avenue in the Austin American-Statesman parking lot.

Prior to the arrival of the parade from the Travis Co. Expo Center, pre-parade activities such as the Mexican Motorcycle Acrobat Team kept everyone entertained until approximately 8:15pm when the parade arrives at Congress and 11th street.

Provisions were made for secure parking and easy exits at the downtown venue. Riders are encouraged to stay with the group until it has fully arrived, and from there can easily exit to other destinations if desired. The downtown parade is expected to draw approximately 200,000+ spectators who gather to greet the riders as they enter Congress Avenue. Afterwards all are welcome to join in the fun at the new FREE venue where vendors are open and music will be playing late for your enjoyment.

2014 “ROT Biker Rally, Travis Co. Expo” attractions included Evel Knievel museum-quality display containing his Transport truck and original HD motorcycle jet pack used in the “Snake River” attempt, Ride in Bike Show, custom bike builders, stunt shows, comedians, nationally-acclaimed bands on two stages, Paradise Bar, tattoo booths, bikini contest, 300+ vendors, distributors, industry leaders and the amazing jump by Doug Danger using one of Evel’s original Harleys to jump 13 trucks. To emphasize how difficult this was, Robbie Knievel’s bikes have about a foot of fork travel making it a much smoother landing, but Evel’s bike has about 3 inches of travel, so you do the math! Also there were Robbie Knievel as well as Evel’s illustrator and painter George Sedlak. Did you know Evel was a bank robber before becoming world’s most famous daredevil? Yes, it’s true and you can get the details from Lathan McKay himself as he has made it his life mission to collect everything Evel Knievel.

“ROT Biker Rally Downtown, presented by Austin 360”—All ROT Rally (Travis Co. Expo) wristband holders were treated to VIP parking and access to the “wristband holder only” VIP area and private cash bar! The event was free and open to all ages. Hours were 10:00am to midnight June 13+14. A large crowd showed up on Friday night due to the rolling closure on Congress Avenue, the parade culmination at the new venue and the headlining act Los Lonely Boys who always puts on a stellar show. Downtown highlights included the “Wall of Death” stunt show, Free Demo Rides by Harley Davidson, Yamaha, Indian from 10:00am-5:00pm daily, and custom bike builders including Desperado Motorcycles, Strokers, Dan Carr and Roger Bourgette. In addition enjoy industry leaders and manufacturers, artisan vendors, food court and full music line up both days. Enjoy Austin favorite “The Bright Light Social Hour” as the Saturday night headliner.

2014 was a banner year for the Rally at both events!!

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
Annual Sturgis Motorcycle RallyAugust 3rd - August 9th, 2015

Are You Ready for the 75th Annual?
Don’t count on the world slowing down and it taking a long time for August 2015 and the Rally to get here. It seems like yesterday that we were prepping for 2014 and here we are boxing it up, setting it on the shelf, and running full steam ahead into 2015. Before we know it we’ll be right smack dab in the middle of Main Street madness again and loving every minute of it!

Many of you begin planning your trip for “next year” soon after leaving us “this year”. The excitement is hard to shake and the new friends are hard to leave so deciding to come back and do it all over is a fairly easy choice. The magic of the Hills is mesmerizing and the roads, well; there are few places on this good earth that offer this kind of riding.

Incredible roads like Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, the Wildlife Loop, Vanocker Canyon Road and Spearfish Canyon take you to amazing destinations - Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, Bear Butte State Park, the Badlands and Devil’s Tower National Monument. Highway 14A’s big, wide turns transport you to the infamous town of Deadwood and the mining town of Lead, and the awe inspiring Highway 385 meanders past towns like Hill City, Silver City and Custer, all contained in the Black Hills National Forest. It’s breathtaking and it’s glorious and it will make you want to come back.

The Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally is the experience of a lifetime in a place where local people can still show you a thing or two about hospitality and visiting exhibitors can show you anything and everything you’d want or need to dress you up or dress up your bike. Or heck, demo virtually every kind of bike on the market - custom, V-Twin or metric. It’s like being a kid again, in a candy store. Only better! Because in addition to the bikes there are concerts and races and bike shows, five blocks of Main Street bikes-only street vibe, the 13th Annual Mayor’s Ride, Michael Lichter’s annual exhibit, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame, organized rides, some pretty impressive watering holes, custom legends, blue skies and warm, sunny days. It’s all waiting for you in Sturgis and the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.

So add us to your website Favorites list and keep checking back. Go to our Facebook page and Like Us, too! We promise to keep you posted on all the news as soon as we receive it. We’re one-stop shopping for all your Rally needs – places to stay, things to do, vendor space, photos, you name it, we’ve got information about it, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for here, email us or call us 605.720.0800 and we’ll help in any way we can to make your Sturgis experience memorable.
